Ka-Flame

Picture
Michael Parker( born May 23, 1983) the other half of 3rd Degree, was born and raised on the Southside of Albany Ga. Goes by the stage name Ka-Flame...pronounced as K-flame...the "A" is silent and the first 2 letters of the name means "Kritically acclaimed" and the flame part is self-explanatory. He’s been rapping for 15 years now and has also producing/engineering his own music for 9 years. He was heavily influenced by the late Tupac Shakur the most. He always says “If it wasn't for listening to his music and others such as Scarface, and Outkast, I don't think I would be as interested in music as much as I am today.”  He started rapping at the age of 13. He played around with it for a couple years, and when he turned 17, he realized that he actually had the potential to be great at it. So he kept at it until he perfected his craft enough to record and make music that people could actually relate too. As far as his subject matter goes, he talks about things he’s seen while growing up. He says, “I talk about life and how I see it, and I also have songs I’ve done to just show off my skills. And I love making songs for the ladies. They seem to appreciate the music of that sense more than others”.  He’s motivated the most by down talkers and people who doubt him. “I love proving to myself and to others that I can overcome the obstacles.”  He started doing albums in the span of every 3 months, sometimes doing double disc albums with over 39 songs on the album. He’s performed numerous times in the past, at all kinds of venues around Georgia but mainly in Atlanta. He has done 27 solo projects. Highly “Over’ Hated” Volumes 1 and 2 are some of his latest projects, and yes it was a double disc album, (released in March of 2011). He also recently released 2 solo mixtape projects: Torcha Chamber and Incineration. He has released two group mixtapes with his partner Spade Phlame entitled “Hall of Flames Vol 1”(Hosted by DJ Shock) and “Hall of Flames Vol 2.”  He has also recorded 5 music videos. As far as singles go, he has a song titled "Kissin U" on the radio station...96.3 wjiz of Albany Ga. So stay tuned and get to know him throu his music. I can guarantee it’s something on his albums, you can relate too in some way, shape, or form.

SpadePhlame

Arthur Washington, better known as Spade Phlame, was born March 14, 1982 and was raised in Albany, GA.  Spade Phlame is one half of the group 3rd Degree. The name Spade Phlame comes from two different aspects .The Spade is the highest ranked cards in many card games and Phlame (flame) comes from the concept of the heat he brings in the studio and his different style.

Spade Phlame started rapping 15 years ago in middle school. His partner Ka flame would pass Spade Phlame raps he wrote to him in class because he thought he was a rapper and the rest is history.  He got serious around 2001-2002 when they began putting their music onto cd’s. His flow has been described as an aggressive mid-tempo southern flow and his subject matter is truly that of which he lives. He tells people all the time, “I can rap about anything”, and his music is his proof. He has done countless shows across Southwest Georgia and a few in Atlanta. He has 7 solo mixtapes and 10 group mixtapes.  “I want to be a mega star but I want to be able to be heard far and wide and get this music heard and appreciated”, he said when asked what he wants his career in rap to lead to.

Spade Phlame was featured on the hit single "Turn Georgia Blue" with Kno Gud and Big Nod. He produced the regional hits "Motorcycle" and "Pac Man" that featured Fabo of D4L. Spade Phlame released a mixtape with partner Ka Flame, called “Hall of Flames Vol 1” and recently released “Hall of Flames Vol 2” which features the entire Street Dreams Music Group. Both mixtapes were hosted by DJ Shock. They are currently working on “Hall of Flames Vol 3” which will be released in 2012. Spade Phlame has done 6 music videos and has been nominated for lyricist of the year in the 2011 Expose Awards.

Spade Phlame is set to release his solo project “To Whom It May Concern” which will be hosted by DJ Crazy C in early 2012. He says that he has a lot more to share with the world and plans on getting Street Dreams Music Group heard around the world.
